Enough...Chicken Little!!!

The sky is NOT falling despite what the news says...DAILY! Although the in-town Atlanta market does have a higher than average inventory, things are moving. If you drive around Midtown and Virginia Highlands many of the For Sale signs say SOLD. A clear sign of a stable market. Things are a little different out in the "burbs". There is a great deal of excess inventory and the builders just keep on building.

Although the mortgage market did experience a hiccup...things are getting back to normal. Those buyers who will feel the pinch the most are those with low credit scores and are looking for no-documentation loans. These loans account for a very low percentage of sales in the market and should not impact the market.

Now's a great time to be in the market!!!

This building is located on the corner of Peachtree and North Ave. It is a great building that has a pool, gym ,gated parking and concierge but one of the best parts about the building is the location. You are next door to the beautiful Fox and many great restaurants.

The condo is on the fifth floor with great views of Peachtree , Downtown and the park across the street. The condo has wood floors, open kitchen with maple cabinets, large living area with views onto over sized patio. The unit has 2 large bedrooms and 2 baths.

You just will not believe all you are getting for $229,900.

Good News for In-town Atlanta Market

I'm sure you've heard, on numerous occasions, that the real estate market is on the down hill slide. Luckily, market conditions vary region to region with the Southeast being one of the most stable markets in the entire country. The Metro Atlanta are, predominately the suburbs have seen a fall of nearly 25% 2006 sales levels. But, and here's the good news...the Intown Atlanta market is stable and slightly better than 2006 sales levels.

What's sustaining the stability? In-town Atlanta has become the place for 25-35 year olds who are drawn to the economic opportunities, entertainment options and affordable housing. Another demographic that is fueling the In-town market are the empty-nesters and baby boomers who are attracted to high-rise, maintenance free lifestyle and cultural opportunities.

It's amazing to drive through Buckhead, Midtown and Downtown and see the number of cranes...construction is everywhere! Those cranes are just one of many signs that point to a healthy, thriving In-town Atlanta real estate market.
