ABOUT MICHELLE THOMPSON
Michelle possesses a vast amount of real estate and investment experience. With a degree in finance
from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Michelle's business prowess is a key factor in
the success of Van Thompson Group. After college, the native Atlantan returned to her hometown to
launch her career in real estate. Michelle was originally licensed as a Realtor in 1991, and earned
her broker's license in 1996. She is intimately familiar with the intown market both as a broker and
an investor.
In addition to real estate, Michelle also founded a residential renovation company, working primarily
in historic Atlanta neighborhoods. The renovation company's initial focus was renovating Michelle's
investments, and it evolved into general contracting, as well.
Michelle's personal interests include reading, skydiving, golf and vegetable gardening. She is also
very active in local environmental efforts and is extremely supportive of Atlanta Pet Rescue, a
nonprofit organization that matches pets with families in or around the Atlanta area.
ABOUT MELANIE VAN DE GRIFT
Melanie offers more than 13 years of experience in the Atlanta real estate market. Melanie began her
career in real estate as an investor, when she focused on finding and renovating neglected homes in
gentrifying areas of Atlanta.
Her successful ventures as an investor proved to be the launching pad for Melanie's foray into selling
real estate and leveraging her unique marketing capabilities.
Melanie expanded her vision when she established a boutique real estate firm specializing in the intown
market. This strategic business decision allowed Melanie to utilize her insightful knowledge to assist
buyers and sellers achieve their real estate goals.
Originally from South Carolina, Melanie earned her bachelor's degree in business from Columbia College
and a degree in pilot technology from Broward College. Melanie's personal interests include flying,
sailing, golf and volunteering for Atlanta Pet Rescue, a nonprofit organization that matches pets with
families in or around the Atlanta area.
ABOUT LORI DEESE
Lori Deese has been selling residential real estate for more than seven years. She offers experience in
condos, townhomes, lofts and houses ranging from the historic to the brand new.
Lori assists people with buying and selling properties in neighborhoods all across Georgia, including
Douglasville, Kennesaw, Smyrna, Decatur, East Atlanta, Midtown, Candler Park, Inman Park, East Point,
Tucker and Marietta. Lori doesn't limit herself to just one area. This openness affords her a broad
knowledge of the city and surrounding areas.

ABOUT EVAN ARNOLD
Licensed in both Georgia and Florida since 2003, Evan also has more than 10 years of real estate
experience, as well as a business degree in real estate from Georgia State University. He works with a
wide range of clients, from seasoned investors to first-time buyers, sellers and property managers.
Evan is connected to a vast network of professionals, enabling him to offer his clients smooth, low-stress
transactions. With an in-depth knowledge of Fulton, DeKalb and Cobb counties, as well as the North Georgia
mountains, Evan is highly equipped to assist clients in finding the perfect home in the city or a great
retreat just far enough away from it.
Evan is originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and has lived in the metro Atlanta area for almost
20 years. His personal interests include photography, travel and spending time with his two Rhodesian
ridgebacks Jaylyn and Hugo.
ABOUT MARIA PALLADINO
Marketing, Graphic Design & Web Design
The Van Thompson Team draws upon the creative talents of Maria Palladino for all of its marketing, design,
print, web and promotional needs. With eight years of experience in the design industry and three years of
real estate marketing insight, Maria specializes in branding and image development. Maria's services run
the gamut from logo and collateral packages to web design and functionality to developing and implementing
industry specific marketing plans via direct mail and e-mail programs.
